The project was initiated to help define and support a Disaster Preparedness and Disaster Recovery program intended to reduce threats prior to events, support emergency and mission-critical operations, during and immediately after an event, and address damages to reestablish full operation of its facilities quickly after a disaster. This program requires Disaster Preparedness services to assist with Plans, Accreditation, Technology and Training & Exercise Programs; and Disaster Recovery services to assist in immediate Disaster Response activities, facilitate a comprehensive Disaster Assessment process, manage the Public Assistance program and support the Disaster Restoration of infrastructure and facilities.
