NYHS’s museum houses an irreplaceable collection in a landmark building that is more than 100 years old. Construction included the fitout of a new cafe and museum shop. The existing single-level Cafe was gutted and recreated into a new state-of-the-art shop and cafe
complete with a new dining space. The upgrading of the existing building interiors, kitchen, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems and exterior require the skills of contracting professionals who have experience with the unique conditions of providing capital improvement to an operating museum.
