Gateway Project is a comprehensive rail investment program that would improve reliability, resiliency and redundancy while creating new capacity for a critical section of the Northeast Corridor (NEC) – the most heavily used passenger rail line in the country. The Gateway Project will be comprised of a high-speed rail corridor to alleviate the bottleneck along the Northeast Corridor between New York and New Jersey. The project would build new rail bridges in the New Jersey Meadowlands and dig new tunnels under the Hudson Palisades and the Hudson River. The task is identifying and comparing different sources of funding and financing; developing and
comparing different procurement methods; and conducting procurement on the Hudson Tunnel and Portal North Bridge projects. DACK provides technical support on risks on various project delivery, on packaging the work, as well as the technical risks.
